2024 Ox Hardy Blewitt Springs Grenache
Rich and super succulent yet tense and structured.
Includes 15% whole bunches with maturation taking place in seasoned French oak. Red to dark red core with black shaded edges and a red hue. Intense red to dark raspberry, ripe cherry and red liquorice scents flood the olfactory senses with ensuing notes of Provincial herbs, scorched earth and pepper lending further interest. Rich, super succulent dark raspberry, dark cherry and liquorice fruits are contrasted against a crushed rock, dried herb and pepper back drop. Polished yet structured tannins with a long and juicy yet tense finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Other Reviews…….
From the Natale vineyard; 15% whole bunches and eight months in seasoned oak. The tariff is extremely friendly given the fruit source and obvious quality, which the light touch in the winery allows to shine. Pale in the glass, this is redolent of wild red cherries, redcurrant gelée, macerated strawberries and raspberry drops, with a dusting of white-pepper-led spice, hints of bay, iron and woody herbs. Medium-weighted, this is a detailed wine of considerable charm, and, as noted, excellent value. Drink by 2032.
