2024 O’Leary Walker Watervale Nero d’Avola

A rich, juicy Nero with faintly chewy tannins and good underlying freshness.

Midnight black heart with a dark red hue. Blossoming out of the glass with impressive intensity are dark plum, ripe blueberry, liquorice and dark cherry scents followed by some earthy incense and fragrant provincial herb notes. Rich, juicy dark and morello cherry, liquorice and blueberry fruits swamp the mouth with some earthy incense, provincial herb and spice elements tailing off onto the back half. Faintly chewy tannins with good underlying freshness across the long succulent finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
