A fleshy textured Chenin Blanc that shows impressive intensity.

Brilliant water like core with green highlighted surrounds. Aromas of green apple, lime and pear mix with some quince and flinty mineral notes. Fleshy textured pear, Jonathan apple and quince fruits are delivered with impressive intensity. Subtle musk and spice elements sit in the background. Fresh acidity with a long nicely shaped finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

This new face in WA wine was one of my finds of the previous year, and once again it has come up trumps, displaying the remarkable qualities of chenin blanc to emerge triumphant even in challenging and very hot seasons. It is a testament to both vineyard management and winemaking. In this case, it leans more into stone fruit and citrus rather than the tropical notes you might normally expect with chenin. It has a beautiful texture, fine acidity, excellent length, and is yet another illustration of how good chenin blanc can be in the Swan Valley.
