2024 Neldner Road by Dave Powell Steinborner Marsanne

A rich, mouth coating Marsanne that takes it’s inspiration from Northern Rhone.

Fermented in a combination of 50% new and 50% old French oak barrels followed by 6 months of barrel maturation on lees.
Brilliant straw colour with subtle flashes of green around the edges and a watery hue. Engulfing the nostrils are heady scents of ripe peach, honeycomb and crème brulee followed by some biscuity nougat, subtle butterscotch and spice notes. Rich, mouth coating flavours of ripe peach, apricot, honeycomb and crème brulee are delivered with terrific intensity and carry a viscous textural feel. Nougat, butterscotch and spice elements sit in the background. Long enveloping finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
