2024 Mollydooker The Boxer Shiraz
Rich, dense and thick with a long decadent, liqueur like finish.
Sourced from McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek the flamboyant Boxer Shiraz is famed for it’s massive fruit weight, voluptuous texture and decadent richness. Maturation took place in 100% American oak of which 40% was new and the rest one year old.
Impenetrable inky black colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Heady dark to black plum and ripe blackberry scents waft from the glass followed by some vanillin oak, dark chocolate and subtle mint notes. Rich, dense and thick, the voluptuous palate is doused in dark plum, liquorice and blackberry fruits. Toasty vanillin oak, subtle earthy dark chocolate and fennel elements lurk underneath. Concentrated and powerful it has velvet smooth tannins and a long decadent, liqueur like finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
