2024 Masso Antico Primitivo

A lusciously fruited medium bodied Primitivo.

Matured in French oak barrels for approximately 6 months, this Primitivo is crafted from bush vines and made in ancient tradition of Apulian winemaking, known as Alberello Pugliese which concentrates the flavours in the grapes.
Deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. A mix of dark plum, liquorice and morello cherry aromas greet the nostrils trailed by some vanillin spice and gentle earthy dried herb notes. Juicy morello cherry, liquorice and dark to black plum fruits overlay a vanillin spice and dried herb back drop. Ripe, faintly chewy tannins with a lusciously fruited conclusion.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
