2024 Kooyong Beurrot Pinot Gris
A light to mid weight Pinot Gris that has a fresh, elegant feel and a dry, energetic finish.
Brilliant very pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Pear, subtle rosewater, red apple and musk aromas sail out of the glass with hints of ginger and spice also evident. Light to mid weight with a fresh, elegant feel, the palate sports pear and red apple fruits over a delicate quince and spice back drop. Brisk acidity with a dry, energetic finish.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
Alc. 13%
Other Reviews….
While there’s texture here, this is a tight, leaner rendition; still pleasing, though. Aromas and flavours are light on with some nashi and barely ripe Packham pears, lemon curd and lemon meringue. There’s a slip of texture and cleansing acidity; best not to chill this down too much. Drink by 2027.
