2024 J. Moreau & Fils Les Coches Chardonnay

A fresh, nicely fleshed Chablis like Chardonay.

Renowned Chablis producer J.Moreau & Fils have branched out from their traditional roots to produce this very affordable Chardonnay that’s quite Chablisisque like. Vins de France is a relatively new appellation that allows winemakers to source grapes from different French regions and allows for a greater liberty in winemaking techniques.
Brilliant pale straw colour with hints of green around the edges and a watery hue. Aromas of ripe peach and pear mix with dried honey and wet stone notes. Nicely fleshed pear, lime and green apple fruits meld into a stony mineral back drop. Fresh acidity with a shapely river stone like feel to the lengthy finish.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
