2024 Hamelin Bay Cabernet Sauvignon

A rich, generous Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon that concludes long and refined.

Dense pitch black heart with a deep dark red purple hue. Elevated aromas of freshly crushed blackcurrant and liquorice mix with cedary tobacco, subtle earth and bay leaf notes. Rich blackcurrant and ripe mulberry fruits are dispersed across the palate with impressive generosity. Cedary tobacco, earth and bay leaf characters sit in the background. Juicy mouth feel with fresh underlying acidity and fine grained tannins. Concludes long and refined yet well endowed.

From a warm season in Margaret River, this cooler region allowed nice ripeness, producing an impressive cabernet. Aromas of blackcurrant leaf, chocolate and blackberry lift from the glass. The medium-bodied palate offers plush, supple fruit, supported by a firm core of tannin and oak. It will continue to evolve and is best enjoyed in the medium term.
