2024 Forest Hill Vineyard Shiraz
Great Southern, Western Australia, AUSTRALIA
Minimum 12 bottles
Tight, tense and inky with muscular tannins and an elegant finish.
Dense inky black heart with a very deep bright dark purple red hue. Restrained nose with aromas of white pepper, graphite, liquorice, clove and scorched earth evident. Tight, tense and inky, the mid weighted palate features red plum and liquorice fruits which meld into a scorched earth, graphite and pepper back drop. Coiled up and muscular it has dry, gravelly tannins and an elegant finish that carries a chiselled feel.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 14%
Other Reviews……
Supple, soft, savoury and rippling with mixed forest berry fruitiness. Dark cherry, raspberry, cranberry drink, some dusty cinnamon, a touch of cola, some dark chocolate and dashes of mint. Almost a syrah-like feel here, and quite upmarket in its overall quality of fruit and mesh of savouriness. Very lovely. Drink by 2031.
