2024 Dandelion Vineyards Menagerie of the Barossa Grenache Shiraz Mataro
Plump and succulent with a long, sumptuous finish.
Deep dark red black tinged colour with a dark red hue. Pronounced aromatics of dark raspberry, liquorice and dark plum jump out of the glass complimented by some vanillin spice, earth and subtle peppered herb notes. Plump and succulent, dark plum, dark raspberry and liquorice fruits flood the mid weighted palate. Vanillin spice and peppered earth elements sit in the background. Velvety tannins with an underlying freshness to the long, sumptuous finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Other Reviews…..
The strong '24 release sees a blend of 58/22/20% grenache/shiraz/mataro matured for 12 months in seasoned French oak. Bright crimson with a wave of ripe satsuma plum, red cherry and blueberry fruits with some cranberry lift and hints of Medina spice, dried citrus rind, meadow flowers, Chinese barbecue shop, turned earth, cold tea, anise and chocolate-dipped raspberries. Medium weighted with a freshness to its travel, pure, savoury fruit, fine, sandy tannins and a real easy-drinking style. Drink by 2038.
