2024 Carpineta Fontalpino Chianti Colli Senesi

Juicy and vibrant with mildly chalky tannins and a long, elegant red fruited finish.

Since the 1960’s, the Cresti family has been running this estate located in Castelnuovo Berardenga in the southern part of the Chianti Classico region. This 80 hectare property, of which 23 are dedicated to wine, produces a traditional style of Chianti Classico with a modern edge to it.
Dark red core with black toned edges and a bright red hue. The nose expels aromas of red currants, Mediterranean herbs and red liquorice followed by hints of earth, tobacco and spice. Delicious red currant and red liquorice fruits are both juicy and vibrant in their flow across the medium weighted palate. Some red cherry, earth, dried herbs and spice form the underbelly. Energetic acidity and mildly chalky tannins with a long, elegant red fruited finish.
