2023 Taltarni Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

An elegant, mid weighted Pyrenees Cabernet with a savoury conclusion.

Deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Aromas of red currant and red liquorice are complimented by some spicy vanillin cedar, earth and subtle black olive notes. Much softer than the tannic Taltarni beasts of yesteryear, the elegant mid weighted palate features red currant and red liquorice fruits over a dried herb, cedary tobacco, earth and spice back drop. Fine grained tannins with a savoury conclusion of medium length.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Graceful, elegant and refined, displaying impressive purity and brightness. Admirable redcurrant juiciness on the mid-palate, with good lightness and energy. The wine is gently supple, with fine, integrated tannins providing just the right amount of structural support. A well-made cabernet with broad appeal, reflective of its cool-climate origins. Approachable now, yet destined to age beautifully. Drink by 2032.
