Fermented with 15% whole bunches. Deep dark red core with black shaded edges and a dark red hue. Fragrant spicy dark plum and liquorice aromas mix with hints of dried apricot, scorched earth and peppered fennel. The elegant, medium bodied palate is finely detailed with red plum and liquorice fruits which meld into a spicy earth, subtle dried apricot and peppered herb back drop. Grainy tannins and lively acidity with a bright savoury finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

It’s certainly a more restrained, nervy style for the flagship, with its cool elements of white and black pepper, raspberry leaf, some stemmy notes and barely ripe fruit plus lots of herbal tones. Tangy and tart fruits on the lighter-framed palate, sinewy tannins and loads of refreshing yet frisky acidity. This needs food to assuage all that. Drink by 2032.
