Certified organic. Slightly cloudy red colour with a light red hue. Fragrant red cherry, rhubarb and winter strawberry scents are intertwined with fresh herb, forest floor, brambly cedar and spice notes. Light and supple, the red fruited palate has an underlying freshness with red cherry, winter strawberry and rhubarb fruits to the fore. Impressive power wave and polished tannins. Notions of brambly cedar, forest floor, fresh herbs and spice extending across the long, bright and savoury finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Of all the pinot noirs in the Quealy stable, this needs more time to find its groove. Don’t get me wrong, it’s humming a fine tune, but it’s so youthful and vibrant, showing off its heady aromas and cherry accents, root vegetables and cured meats. Time will allow more depth and calmness. The plentiful tannins and acidity will ensure a smooth, long ride. Totally understandable if you find this captivating now. I did. Drink by 2036.
