2023 Plantagenet Three Lions Pinot Noir

A pioneer of the Great Southern region of Western Australia, Plantagenet first planted vineyards in 1968 and was the first commercial winery established in the region. Their Three Lions label is the entry level range of wines which regularly over deliver, the Pinot Noir being the standout.
Dark red core with black toned edges and a vibrant red purple tinged hue. Fragrant red to dark cherry and strawberry scents tinged with a hint of violet drift through the nostrils trailed by some anise, delicate dried herb and spicy earth notes. Juicy dark cherry and strawberry fruited are layered across the palate with some anise, vanillin earth like characters and delicate spicy dried herbs lying underneath. Supple in its feel and possessing polished tannins it has a succulently fruited finish of medium length.
