Concentrated, deeply fruited and grippy.

Impenetrable inky black heart with a very deep dark red black hue. Lifted blackcurrant, mulberry and liquorice aromas are interwoven with cedary tobacco, black olive and spice notes. Rich, concentrated blackcurrant and liquorice fruits are framed by firm tannins. Vanillin cedar, tobacco, minty earth and spice elements form the underbelly. Concludes long, deeply fruited and grippy.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.

No mistaking this is cabernet, and cabernet from the heart of Margaret River, not far from Cowaramup. A small amount of malbec, that often-unheralded blending partner, adds to the palate’s depth. The result is quite soft but still structured, with deep fruit characters. A touch of bay leaf and olive tapenade adds complexity. It will handle medium-term cellaring but is ideal for early drinking.
