2023 Mader Pinot Blanc

A moreish Pinot Blanc that shows terrific intensity and textural volume.

Made from a blend of 20% Pinot Blanc and 80 % Auxerrois (37 year old vines) whole bunch pressed with natural fermentation and 15% of the wine aged in barrel on fine lees for 8 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with glimpses of green around the edges and a watery hue. Elevated pear, lime and red apple scents are trailed by some fresh herb and wets tone notes. Delicious pear, red apple and lime fruits are layered across the palate with terrific intensity and textural volume. Subtle quince and stony mineral elements linger underneath. Energetic acidity lends freshness to the long moreish finish that shows a dash of spice.
