The 2023 Les Perrières de Lafleur reveals aromas of violet, dark wild berries, spices and licorice. Medium to full-bodied, enveloping and deep, layered and textured, it has a good depth of fruit with powdery tannins, concluding with a saline, lead pencil-inflected finish. Crafted entirely from Cabernet Franc, it’s one of the most singular Les Perrières produced by Baptiste Guinaudeau and his team.

The 2023 Les Perrières is fabulous. Brisk and tightly wound in the glass, Les Perrières is so impressive. Crushed rocks, graphite, rose petal, blood orange, mint and mocha race across the palate. The 2023 is vibrant, deep and also beautifully crystalline in its precision. Drink 2028-2043.

Wow, this is quite impressive, with lots of freshness highlighted by chalky energy. Minerally in a very dusty mode, showing ripe but racy red berries and cherries. Medium- to full-bodied with fresh, fine-boned tannins. Really long and precise. 100% bouchet (cabernet franc). Drink or hold.

All Cabernet Franc (Bouschet clone) and just beautiful, the 2023 Les Perrières De Lafleur has a distinct minerality in its red and blue fruits as well as chalk, spring flowers, violets, and spice. It's medium to full-bodied, has a pure, graceful, focused mouthfeel, beautiful balance and depth, fine tannins, and a great finish. This is the first time it's been 100% Cabernet Franc, due to the heat wave that gave the Merlot a level of ripeness that made it difficult to blend with the Cabernet Franc. This brilliant beauty is absolutely gorgeous and will keep for 20 years or more. Drink 2026-2045.

Wild flower notes on the nose, smells really welcoming and very pure. Cool from the start, texture and structure from a warm vintage but with fresh acidity giving mouthwatering aspects and such liveliness. Direct and focused, but juicy in the best way. I love this expression because it’s not too strict but there’s complexity, some flesh, soft herbs and lovely red berry fruit. A little iron tang on the finish too. Very complete and approachable. Drink 2028-2040.
