Impenetrable inky black heart with an equally deep dark red black hue. Potent black cherry, liquorice and smoky vanillin cedar aromas engulf the nostrils with notions of earthy dark chocolate, fennel and peppered dried meats also evident. Rich, powerful and mouth filling, liquorice, black cherry and blackberry fruits saturate the weighty palate. Smoky vanillin cedar, earthy dark chocolate and peppered fennel elements extend across the back half. Velvety yet solidly built tannin structure with a long opulent finish that’s nonetheless surprisingly fresh and refined.
