Gut Oggau is a leading natural wine producer based in Burgenland, Austria, celebrated for its expressive, biodynamically farmed wines. Established in 2007, husband and wife Stephanie and Eduard Tscheppe-Eselböck took over one of the oldest estates in the region, with the manor’s oldest walls dating back to the 17th century. Certified biodynamic by Demeter, the estate focuses on indigenous grape varieties and minimal intervention, crafting wines without added SO₂ to let the vineyard speak clearly. Each wine is represented by a fictional family member on the label, reflecting the wine’s unique personality and story. The result is a compelling range that combines tradition, sustainability, and vibrant, soulful drinking.
Timotheus is a textured, full-bodied white crafted from biodynamically farmed Grüner Veltliner and Weissburgunder. Rich and structured yet remarkably fresh, expect layers of ripe stone fruit, citrus oil, and toasted almond, underpinned by saline minerality and a gentle herbal lift. A wine of quiet confidence and complexity.
