2023 Greenock Creek Cornerstone Grenache
A ripe, generously fruited Grenache that has an underlying freshness to it.
Deep dark red core with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Pronounced black raspberry, liquorice and dark cherry scents engulf the nostrils trailed by some scorched earth, vanillin spice and subtle pepper notes. Rich, juicy black raspberry, liquorice and dark cherry fruits are intermeshed with scorched earth, vanillin spice and pepper characters. Refined velvet like tannins with a ripe, generously fruited finish that has an underlying freshness to it.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 14.5%
Other Reviews…..
Old bush-vine grenache from Marananga, bright crimson in the glass and packed with characters of raspberry, red plum and cranberry fruits along with hints of ginger cake, exotic spice, orange blossom, dried citrus peel and earth. Bright, compact, fresh and delicious, with fine, powdery tannin, abundant energy and a real ease of drinking.
