2023 Escarpment Chardonnay

A mid weighted, nicely fleshed Chardonnay that shows good freshness.

Barrel fermented and aged on lees in French oak barriques for a period of 11 months. Bright straw colour with flashes of green around the edges and a watery hue. Aromas of grapefruit and citrus lead the way followed by hints of biscuity oak and gun flint. Mid weighted and nicely fleshed, the palate features pear, nectarine and grapefruit flavours over biscuity oak, bees wax and subtle infusions of gun flint. Good freshness with a long, rounded finish.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
