2023 Domaine Schoffit Pinot Blanc Auxerrois Vieilles Vignes

A rich, exotic and texturally viscous Alsace blend.

A blend of Pinot Blanc and Auxerrois from vines averaging 50-70 years old grown on gravelly soil covered by loess in the Harth vineyard. Fermentation and aging takes place in stainless steel for a period of 11 months.
Bright yellow straw colour with a watery hue. Ripe apple, baked pear and honeysuckle aromas engulf the nostrils with some quince and spice notes also evident. Rich and exotic, luscious ripe pear, red apple, tropical fruit and honeysuckle flavours are layered across the texturally viscous palate with impressive intensity. Delicate musk, quince and ginger spice elements sit in the background. Possessing outstanding power it has brisk underlying acidity and a long voluminous finish.
