2023 Domaine Pichot Clos Cartaud Vouvray Sec

Deliciously fruited with fresh cleansing acidity and a long, shapely conclusion.

Made from 45-75 year old vines located above the village adjoining Clos Saint Mathurin not far from the Vallee de Nouys where the Pichot family and winery are located. Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Pronounced pear, green apple and quince aromas are trailed by whiffs of bees wax and faint lemon butter. Delicious ripe pear and red apple fruits meld into a honeysuckle, quince and delicate cinnamon spice back drop. Fresh cleansing acidity with a long, shapely conclusion.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
