2023 Domaine Latour-Giraud Pommard Cuvee Carmen
Nestled in the heart of Meursault, Domaine Latour-Giraud is a family-run estate known for crafting wines that beautifully express the village’s rich terroirs. With a focus on Chardonnay, their whites strike a balance between depth and precision, often showcasing the generous texture Meursault is famous for while retaining freshness and minerality. Whether from village-level plots or prized premier crus, Latour-Giraud’s wines reflect both tradition and a thoughtful, modern approach to winemaking.
Other Reviews....
A distinctly earthy and vaguely sauvage-inflected nose freely reveals its aromas of both red and dark berries. There is lovely verve and detail to the delicious middle weight flavors that conclude in a mildly rustic and youthfully austere finale. This is sufficiently structured to need at least a few years of keeping. Drink through 2028+.

Allen Meadows - Burghound
A medium crimson red. Prettily perfumed, ripe enough flavours. Some cherry. A little harder at the finish, with firm tannins. A slight sweetness to the fruit at the finish. If you extract the fruit you get the tannins, so this is a compromise. Nice length. Drink from 2029-2034.
