Founded in 1972 by Charles and Marie-Francoise Audoin, Domaine Charles Audoin has been central to Marsannay's evolution into one of the Cote de Nuits' most engaging appellations. From an initial three hectares, it has grown to fourteen across many of the village's key sites. Since taking over in 2000, Cyril Audoin has brought a quiet precision to both vineyard and cellar, guiding the estate to organic certification and overseeing the construction of a purpose-built winery. The result is a style that feels unmistakably of Marsannay: pure, composed, and full of energy.

A slightly riper nose is comprised by notes of poached plum, black cherry liqueur and newly turned earth. The middle weight flavors are not as dense though they are slightly finer with more evident minerality as well that adds a sense of lift to the long and youthfully austere finale where an interesting hint of bitter orange peel slowly emerges. Recommended. Drink through 2030+.
