2023 Denton Chardonnay
Ripe and fleshy with a creamy mid palate feel counterpointed by fresh underlying acidity.
Brilliant pale straw to straw colour with green tinted edges and a watery hue. Pronounced peach, nectarine and dried honey aromas mix with cashew, nougat and ginger spice. Ripe fleshy peach and nectarine fruits are complimented by dried honey, cashew, citrusy nougat and ginger spice characters. Excellent concentration with a creamy mid palate feel counterpointed by fresh underlying acidity. Finishes long and textural yet agile.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 13.5%
Other Reviews…..
Natural-yeast fermentation in both seasoned and new (45%) French puncheons, with the new wood component being transferred to an older barrel after three weeks. A bright green gold. Opulent and complex aromas of ripe stone fruits, ginger, oyster shells and scented white flowers. Concentrated and structured on the palate, finishing saline, nutty and very long. Another excellent Denton chardonnay.
