2023 David Duband Nuits-Saint-Georges
David Duband is regarded as one of the rising stars of Burgundy. He took over his family domaine at a very young age and now has more than 20 vintages of experience behind him. Starting out with small family holdings David, together with his business partner Francois Feuillet, have added to their portfolio of wines through the purchase of some exceptional old Grand cru vineyards throughout Gevrey Chambertin and Morey St Denis, including prime holdings of retiring vigneron Jacky Truchot.
Other Reviews....
Subtle if easily perceptible wood lurks in the background of the ripe blend of red and dark currant, newly turned earth and a hint of forest floor character. There is both excellent intensity and freshness to the detailed and appealingly textured medium weight flavors that also conclude in a dusty and youthfully austere finale. This slightly firmer effort needs to develop better depth so some patience is warranted. Drink through 2030+.

Fresh purple, showing its Nuits character well with the darker fruit balanced again by floral notes, super intensity further back on the palate, excellent acid balance, fine length. Excellent Drink from 2028-2033.
