David Duband is regarded as one of the rising stars of Burgundy. He took over his family domaine at a very young age and now has more than 20 vintages of experience behind him. Starting out with small family holdings David, together with his business partner Francois Feuillet, have added to their portfolio of wines through the purchase of some exceptional old Grand cru vineyards throughout Gevrey Chambertin and Morey St Denis, including prime holdings of retiring vigneron Jacky Truchot.

Other Reviews....
A spicier if less floral-suffused nose serves up an array of red currant, exotic tea, sandalwood and a whiff of star anise. There is even better volume and a similar lovely texture to the medium-bodied flavors that possess solid density before terminating in a powerful, moderately austere and very much built-to-age finale where a touch of warmth slowly emerges. This is a bigger and more powerful wine but I prefer the finesse and subtle minerality of the Sentiers. Drink through 2035+.

Attractive mid crimson to ruby. Pepper and spice first up on the nose. Not expecting quite such an expanse of light on its feet sweet red fruit, again with floral overtones, then a return of black pepper at the finish. This needs more time. Very interesting. Drink from 2031-2037.
