The 2023 Clos de l'Oratoire is one of the most changed wines in the Neipperg portfolio. An increase in Cabernet Franc is immediately evident in the wine's explosive bouquet and overall energy. Rose petal, sage, mint, dried flowers and orange peel race across the palate. Clos de l'Oratoire is absolutely beguiling in 2023. I can't wait to taste it from bottle. Drink 2030-2043.

Smooth and supple, great energy and movement, a lovely chalky but ripe body with textured tannins and a fresh crunchy plum, cranberry and cherry fruit presence. I like the styling, it’s full but equally quite tense and straight. Ends minty and lifted with elegance and finesse. Drink 2028 - 2040.

Flowers, black raspberries, incense, and licorice fill the nose. On the palate, the wine is supple, creamy, fresh, and vibrant. The fruits show the influence of the Cabernet Franc with their spice, and floral edge. There is lift to the sweet, ripe, round berries on the mid-palate, and in the finish. The wine blends 75% Merlot, with 25% Cabernet Franc. 13.5% ABV. Drink from 2027-2042.
