2023 Chateau Pegau Pink Pegau Rose
A dry, tangy French Rose – Drink up.
The Chateau Pegau releases come from estates located just across the southern border of Chateauneuf du Pape, along the eastern bank of the Rhone River. The wines are made by Laurence Feraud in Pegau's recently completed new cellar at the estate. Sourced from vines between 35-60 years in age it's produced from a blend of 70% Cinsault, 20% Grenache, and 10% Carignan.
Salmon orange tinged colour. Peach, blood orange, spiced pear and strawberry scents sail through the nostrils with whiffs of wet slate also evident. On the palate peach and blood orange fruits are underpinned by tangy acidity with some nectarine, spicy melon and wet stone elements lingering through the back half. Nicely rounded mid palate finishing dry with a tangy blood orange freshness.

Other Reviews....
A dangerously refreshing rosé from the Southern Rhone with a rare elegance for this category. Very crisp and precise finish that takes your breath away and pulls you back for more. Subtle nose of nectarines and red berries. A pure cinsault with just 11.5% alcohol. Drink now.
