2023 Bleasdale The Wild Fig Shiraz Grenache Mourvedre
Mid weighted and elegant with juicy blue to dark fruits.
Deep dark red black tinged colour with a red purple hue. Fragrant dark plum, blueberry and liquorice aromas intermix with hints of dried herbs and vanillin spice. Juicy blueberry and plum fruits drive the elegant mid weighted palate with subtle red liquorice, dried herb, earth and spice elements ensuing. Polished tannins with good underlying freshness and a savoury finish that has a dash of spice to it.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc. 13.5%
Other Reviews….
Three varieties that go together so well, especially if the result is this juicy and appealing drink. Lots of enticing aromatics from musk, sarsaparilla and red berries. The mid-weighted palate follows suit with more woodsy spices, licorice and a flood of sweet fruit. Very satisfying and a brilliant price, too. Drink by 2030.
