Rich and polished yet sturdy with a plush, deeply fruited finish.
Matured for 14-16 months in a mix of new, one and two year old French and American oak hogsheads. Pitch black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced blackberry, liquorice and dark chocolate aromas flood the olfactory senses followed by some vanillin oak, mocha and spice notes. Rich blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruits carry an opulent feel across the medium to full bodied palate. Vanillin oak, fennel and subtle peppered earth elements lie underneath. Polished yet sturdy tannin structure with a plush, deeply fruited finish.
