2022 Silkman Reserve Shiraz Pinot Noir

Silky light to medium bodied blend with a strong clove and dried herb overlay to the red fruits.

Dark red core with black shaded edges and a red to dark red hue. Prominent dried clove scents are to the fore with some dark cherry, red liquorice earth and spicy pepper notes also evident. Silky light to medium bodied entrance with a strong clove and dried herb overlay to the red cherry and red liquorice fruits. Some plum, earth and spice elements extend across the back half. Slightly tangy acidity and polished tannins with an elegant, savoury finish.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.

The cherry-infused palate is beautifully supple and perfectly ripe. Fruit is the undeniable hero, with seamless integration between the two varieties. Pinot makes up 30% of the blend, with the MV6 clone sourced from the Travertine Vineyard. 'Best's clone' shiraz is sourced from the Wills Hill Vineyard and displays natural elegance and intensity. The blend spends three months in oak, of which 40% is new, which sweetens and fills out the mid-palate, followed by three months in tank to preserve the primary fruit. Drink by 2030.
