2022 Quartz Reef Bendigo Pinot Noir

A mid weighted yet relatively elegant Pinot with rich dark fruit, plenty of spice and a seductive finish.

Dark red core with black toned edges and a dark red hue. Expressive violet, black cherry, anise and dark plum scents are trailed by some toasty cedar, earth and spicy dried herb notes. Mid weighted yet relatively elegant, rich dark plum, black cherry and anise flavours make a supple entrance. Spicy cedar, scorched earth and brambly dried herb elements the undercard. Slightly dryish but otherwise polished tannins with a finish that’s long, seductive and spicy.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

This is very structured for a 2022, with fine, linear tannins that run the length of the wine, giving backbone, focus and a tight fruit structure. It’s very typical for a Central Otago pinot. So much clarity and focus to this. Drink now or hold. Screw cap.
