2022 Nicks Secret PH McLaren Vale Tempranillo

From the same estate as the 2021 Nicks Secret PH SK McLaren Vale Shiraz, this Tempranillo was sourced from a single vineyard located in the Sellicks Hill sub region of McLaren Vale. Maturation took place in French oak barriques for a period of 8 months.

Offering incredible value, this is a rich, generously fleshed Tempranillo that possesses the variety’s signature chewy texture.

Pitch black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Ripe black cherry and liquorice scents waft out of the glass with some subtle earthy dark chocolate, vanillin cedar and spice notes also chiming in. Rich black cherry, dark plum and liquorice fruits make a generous, well fleshed entry onto the palate. Notions of earth, dried herbs and spicy vanillin cedar sit in the background. Lively acidity and chewy tannins impart a sculptured feel across the robust yet savoury finish of ample length.
