2022 Nicks Secret LHB Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

This Nicks Secret Cabernet Sauvignon is from one of Coonawarra’s most esteemed estates which was established in 1974. Normally sold for $30 it delivers exceptional everyday drinking at this Nicks Secret price of just $14.99. Made from vines planted between 1974 and 2000, it’s produced in a fruit forward style being aged in predominately older oak.

Without a doubt one of the buys of the year.

Dense midnight black heart with a dark red black tinged hue. Elevated scents of blackcurrant and mulberry make their way out of the glass complimented by cedary tobacco, earthy black olive, dried herb and spice notes. Displaying Coonawarra’s refinement and class, the mid weighted palate is doused with cascading waves of rich red to black currant, red liquorice and mulberry fruits. Spicy cedar, earthy tobacco, faint black olive and bay leaf elements are flayed across the back half. Offering incredible depth for the price, it has seamlessly integrated, fine grained tannins and a long-finessed conclusion. Coonawarra Cabernet of this quality doesn't get any cheaper than this – our recommendation is to load up!
