From vines with an average age of 40 years old. Dark red in colour with black toned edges and a vibrant dark red hue. Delightful red to dark raspberry, cherry and red liquorice scents blossom out of the glass followed by hints of scorched earth and peppered dried herb notes. Juicy red to dark raspberry, liquorice and ripe cherry fruits are delivered with excellent concentration. Bouncy and succulent with notions of scorched earth, infusions of fresh herbs and pepper also chiming in. Very polished tannins with a long fresh finish that’s beaming with rich red fruits. Delicious.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 14%

Other Reviews….
The Munda range is all about allowing the fruit to shine while showcasing a sense of place: 40% of the wine is aged for nine months in used French oak and the remainder in stainless steel. It’s as fragrant and heady as a spring day with its florals and baking spices. Loads of cherries and cherry cola, some meaty reduction and a touch of jubey sweetness although this is certainly savoury and thoroughly appealing. Medium bodied with juicy raspberry-like acidity and light, sandy tannins. Gluggable comes to mind.
