2022 Linke Old Vine Shiraz
Barossa Valley, South Australia, AUSTRALIA
A voluptuous, large scaled Barossa Shiraz.
Sourced from the Dorrien Block vineyard planted in the 1950’s the wine was aged in a combination of old and new American oak barrels for a period of 24 months.
Impenetrable inky black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Heady aromas of dark to black plum, liquorice, mocha and toasty vanillin oak engulf the olfactory senses with some earthy dark chocolate and spice notes also evident. Rich, concentrated and voluptuous, the large scaled palate is flush with decadent dark plum, liquorice, mocha and vanillin oak flavours. Earthy dark chocolate and spice elements form the underbelly. Possessing velvet smooth tannins, it has a power packed finish that’s pure seduction.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
