2022 Josef Chromy Chardonnay
Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish toned edges and a watery hue. Elevated white peach and nectarine aromas are intermeshed with biscuity oak, dried honey, nougat and hints of spicy cashew. Refined and gently creamy in its texture the mid weighted palate is decorated with fleshy white peach and nectarine fruits. Lying underneath are dried honey, biscuity oak, subtle cashew and delicate infusions of gun flint. Good freshness and a long cream tinged finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Other Reviews….
Plenty to like here with a slinky, textured estate-grown Tasmanian chardonnay that shows pristine white peach, nectarine and citrus fruit flavours with hints of spice, nougat, white flowers, almond paste, vanilla and light oatmeal notes. Clotted cream and lemon curd join in on the palate, which has fine, lacy acidity and a bright, minerally acid line finishing with plenty of drive and detail. Drink by 2028.
