A fluffy purple tinged mousse holds well over a midnight black dark red core that’s finely threaded by a steady bead. A heady mix of dark plum, liquorice and dark chocolate aromas waft through the nostrils followed by some spicy vanillin oak and earthy mocha notes. The weighty palate is awash with rich opulent dark plum, chocolate and liquorice flavours. Vanillin oak and earthy mocha characters drift across the back half. Creamy textured mid palate feel with a sturdy structure imparting a touch of firmness across the long expansive finish.

A wonderful tribute to Ford Guthrie, the son of the producer who tragically died too young. Walks the finest of lines between complexity and freshness so well, so convincingly. Dense, dark purple hues. Ripe, sweet blackberries, cherry, blueberry, lively spice, black licorice, chocolate and warm oak light up under the liveliest of bubbles. Flows seamlessly, underscored in soft, ripe tannins and delivered long with a subtle, spicy sweetness. Classic modern Aus style. Drink by 2034.
