2022 Dappled Appellation Chardonnay

A blend of upper and lower Yarra Vineyards - Clones P58, I10V1 and Dijon clones 76 and 95 - from three vineyards in Steels Creek, Seville and Macclesfield. Matured in a combination of 80% older and 20% new French oak barriques, puncheons and demi muids on lees for a period of 10 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with subtle tinges of green around the edges and a watery hue. Elevated white peach, nectarine and dried honey scents enchant the olfactory senses with hints of bees wax, biscuity oak delicate spicy cashew and gun flint also chiming in. Rich nectarine, white peach, dried honey and subtle cashew flavours carry a refined feel across the mid weighted palate. Biscuity nougat, citrus and infusions of gun flint unfold across the back half. Almost creamy in texture it finishes with good freshness and a long high class conclusion.
