A wonderfully finessed Cabernet that concludes long and juicy yet elegant.

A blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc. Dense inky black heart with a deep dark purple red hue. Wonderfully perfumed, the nose offers up alluring scents of violet, red to black currant, liquorice and blueberry followed by some spicy vanillin cedar, earth and fresh herb notes. A sustained wave of rich red to black currant, red liquorice and blueberry fruits swamp the refined medium bodied palate. Showing impressive concentration and finesse, notions of spicy vanillin cedar, dried herbs, subtle tobacco and earthy dark chocolate form the undercurrent. Delightful freshness with polished yet structured tannins and a long, juicy yet elegant conclusion.

The 2022 Birth of Cabernet continues the greatness quest of the 2021, blending a majority of Cabernet Sauvignon with 100% whole-cluster fermentation on the smaller 10% amount of Cabernet Franc only. Medium-bodied, it holds a wealth of complex aromas and flavors within its folds, from fresh tobacco to dark chocolate. This has a very elegant nose of cassis and fresh, tight fruit. The palate is medium- to full-bodied, juicy, incisive and saline, with a fresh side. This comes from a 17-year-old vineyard planted in Agrelo. Drink now.
