2022 Cape Mentelle Cabernet Sauvignon

Rich and fleshy upfront with firm, chalky tannins imparting a dry, grippy feel across the mid length finish.

Matured for 18 months in fine grained French oak. Midnight black core with a dark red hue. Expressive blackcurrant, mulberry and red liquorice aromas evolve out of the glass followed by some dusty vanillin cedar, tobacco, black olive and spicy bay leaf notes. Rich, fleshy textured blackcurrant and liquorice fruits are to the fore with notions of mulberry, earthy black olive, cedary tobacco and spicy dried herb characters lining the back half. Firm, chalky tannins impart a dry, grippy feel across the mid length finish.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
