2022 Brokenwood Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

A savoury mid weighted blend that’s rich and amply powered yet refined in its feel.

A blend of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon and 34% Merlot sourced from McLaren Vale and Margaret River. Matured in French oak barriques for 18 months. Midnight black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Enchanting red to black currant, red liquorice and mulberry scents infused with bay leaf are trailed by some vanillin cedar, dusty earth and spice notes. Rich and amply powered yet refined in its feel, the mid weighted palate is decorated with ripe red to black currant, mulberry and red liquorice fruits. Spicy vanillin cedar, dusty earth, subtle black olive, tobacco and bay leaf elements extend across the back half. Fine grained tannins with a long savoury red to dark fruited finish that shows plenty of spice.
