Sourced from a single vineyard planted in 1998 located in the Ebenzer sub region with maturation taking place in 3rd to 4th fill French oak barriques.
Dense inky black colour with a very deep dark red black hue. The nose is filled with ripe blackcurrant, liquorice, vanillin cedar, tobacco, earth and spicy bay leaf aromas. Medium to full bodied, rich fleshy textured blackcurrant and mulberry fruits are intermeshed with vanillin cedar, tobacco, earth and bay leaf accents. Fine grained yet sturdy tannin structure. Long amply fruited finish.
