Co-fermented with Viognier and aged in a mixture of new and seasoned French oak barriques. Dense midnight black heart with a dark red hue. Elevated dark plum and liquorice aromas mix with faint hints of dried apricot, vanillin cedar and spice. Nicely fleshed the mid weighted palate features red plum and liquorice fruits over vanillin cedar, light earth and spicy pepper characters. Refined feel with polished tannins and a medium length conclusion that shows good finesse.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Other Reviews….
With 2% viognier, co-fermented; matured in 15% new French barriques and older 500L barrels. A medium and bright crimson red. Leaps out of the glass with its fragrant aromas of red and black fruits, violets, pink peppercorns and a little cedary oak. Packs a nice punch on the palate too. Medium bodied, supple and persistent; a hedonistic but balanced mouthful to enjoy now and over the next few years. Drink by 2027.
