2021 Woodlands Woodlands Brook Vineyard Chardonnay
Matured for 10 months in barrel, 25% new. Brilliant pale straw colour with a faint tinge of green to the edges and a watery hue. Refined aromas of nectarine and pear meld into dried honey, cashew, citrusy nougat and spice notes. Possessing excellent richness and a generous well rounded feel, the palate is flooded with ripe nectarine, pear and dried honey flavours. Some grapefruit, cashew, biscuity nougat characters and spice lingering on the back half. Finishes long, stylish and creamy textured.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 12.5%
Other Reviews…..
Matured in barrel for 10 months. Savoury, framed by toasted oak, and layered with preserved citrus, yellow peach and Pink Lady apples. There is a creamy, crushed-nut undercurrent to this which balances the taut acidity the and the firm oak, bringing all things into perspective and balance. Opulent and very smart. Drink by 2032.

Lots of flinty, crushed stone and sliced cooked apples with white pepper undertones. Medium-bodied, racy and vivid with a steely and long finish. Salty, too. Refined and polished. Deft winemaking. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
