2021 Torres Pago del Cielo Celeste Crianza
Rich, fleshy black fruit with slightly chewy tannins firming up the generous yet rustic finish.
Pitch black heart with a dark red black tinged hue. Black cherry, liquorice, scorched earth and spicy leather elements sail out of the glass. Rich black cherry and liquorice fruits carry good flesh as they merge into old cedar, scorched earth and spicy leather characters across the back half. Slightly chewy tannins firm up the generous yet rustic finish.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
Alc. 14%
Other Reviews…..
A juicy and well-balanced wine showing aromas of fresh red fruit, spiced plums, berries and touches of warm bread, white pepper and hibiscus. Crunchy and fruit-expressive, with a medium body and firm tannins. Excellent balance, and there is nothing overdone. It shows elegance and drinkability. Already approachable. Drinkable now, but can hold.

The 2021 Tinto Fino Celeste Crianza from Ribera del Duero was aged for 12 months in 300-liter French (55%) and American (45%) oak barrels, 17% new. Garnet in color, it offers aromas of cherry and sour cherry with marked barrel influence, including a hint of vanilla. Fine tannins and a chalky, plush texture carry through to a polished red fruit finish. Drink 2025-2035.
